Privacy Policy for BlindFish

BlindFish (“we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the BlindFish application.

BlindFish uses YouTube API Services. By using the parts of BlindFish that publish to or read from YouTube, you are also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service, and information handled by those services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. See YouTube API Services below.

About BlindFish

BlindFish helps creators automate their content workflow by importing their TikTok video library into a single dashboard. Users can review and approve videos they want to keep, configure a posting schedule, and automatically publish approved content to the destinations they have connected — a Facebook Page, a YouTube channel, a Snapchat Public Profile, or an X account.

Information We Collect

We only request permissions that are necessary for the features you choose to use, and we only connect the platforms you explicitly authorize.

Facebook

When you connect your Facebook account, we may collect:

• Your Facebook name
• Your Facebook email address
• Your Facebook profile picture
• Your Facebook User ID
• The Facebook Pages you manage (only those you authorize)
• Access tokens required to publish content to your selected Facebook Page
• Post performance metrics for the posts we published on your behalf

Google and YouTube

When you connect a YouTube channel, you authorize us through Google. We may collect:

• Your Google account identifier and email address, used only to show you which account is connected
• An OAuth refresh token, stored encrypted, used to obtain the short-lived access tokens that publish on your behalf
• The ID and title of the YouTube channel you authorize
• Metadata about videos on that channel — titles, publication dates, thumbnails, and durations — so you can pick which ones to work with
• YouTube Analytics figures for the videos we published on your behalf: views, watch time, average view duration, likes, and subscribers gained

For each post BlindFish published, we store the current figures and a daily snapshot of them, so your dashboard can show how a post performed over time. We refresh those figures from YouTube at least every 30 days; if we ever cannot — because you revoked our access, or the connection stopped working — we delete them within 30 days rather than keep a stale copy. They are also deleted whenever the post record they belong to is. We do not use YouTube data to build advertising profiles or to train machine-learning models.

Snapchat

When you connect Snapchat, we may collect your Snapchat account identifier, the Public Profile you authorize, and a refresh token, stored encrypted, used to publish Spotlight videos on your behalf.

X

When you connect X, we may collect:

• Your X account identifier and display name, used to show which account is connected
• OAuth access and refresh tokens, stored encrypted, used to publish and manage Posts on your behalf
• The IDs of Posts BlindFish creates, so we can track publishing status and avoid unsafe retries
• Performance figures for Posts BlindFish published on your behalf, including views and public engagement counts

BlindFish uses this information only to provide the publishing, scheduling, deletion, analytics, security, and support features you authorize. We do not use X data for advertising, sell it, or train machine-learning models with it. X remains the authoritative source for Posts and account information; when X reports that content was deleted or changed, we update or delete our corresponding stored data.

TikTok

BlindFish imports videos from the public TikTok profile you point it at. We do not connect to your TikTok account and we hold no TikTok credentials or passwords. We store that profile’s public handle and identifier, and the public videos and metadata we import into your vault. To retrieve them we send the public handle to a third-party TikTok data provider; no personal account information is shared with that provider.

Everyone

We also collect basic usage information necessary to operate and support the application.

Why We Collect This Information

We collect this information solely to provide the functionality of BlindFish, including:

• Authenticating your account
• Connecting the Facebook Pages, YouTube channels, Snapchat profiles, and X accounts you authorize
• Importing your TikTok content
• Allowing you to review and approve videos
• Publishing approved content according to your scheduled posting preferences
• Showing you how the posts we published on your behalf performed
• Maintaining your account settings and preferences
• Providing customer support
• Improving the reliability and performance of the application

We do not use your information for advertising or sell your personal information.

YouTube API Services

BlindFish uses YouTube API Services to publish videos to the YouTube channel you connect, to list the videos already on that channel, and to read performance figures for the videos we published on your behalf.

• By using these features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
• Data accessed through YouTube API Services is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
• You can revoke BlindFish’s access to your Google and YouTube data at any time through the Google security settings page. This is the complete revocation path: it invalidates every credential we hold for your Google account and stops all scheduled YouTube publishing. It does not remove videos already published.
• You can also do both from within BlindFish, on the Connections page: disconnecting an individual YouTube channel deletes that channel’s stored publishing credentials and cancels its unpublished scheduled posts, and disconnecting the YouTube account deletes the Google authorization we hold for you. Removing our access at Google itself, through the page above, is the only action that also revokes the authorization on Google’s side.
• Analytics we obtain from YouTube are refreshed at least every 30 days. Anything we can no longer refresh is deleted within 30 days.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information, including:

• Secure encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Encrypted storage of sensitive credentials and access tokens
• Restricted access to authorized personnel only
• Regular monitoring and security best practices

While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we continuously work to protect your information using industry-standard security practices.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We only share information when necessary to:

• Operate the services you have requested
• Comply with applicable laws or legal obligations
• Protect the security, rights, or integrity of BlindFish and its users

Any service providers we use are required to safeguard your information and use it only for providing services on our behalf.

Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide the BlindFish service or as required by applicable law.

If you disconnect your account or request deletion, your personal information and associated access tokens will be removed within a reasonable period unless we are legally required to retain certain records.

Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to the personal information we maintain about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Revoke Facebook permissions at any time through your Facebook account settings
• Revoke BlindFish’s access to your Google and YouTube data at any time through the Google security settings page
• Disconnect an individual Facebook Page, YouTube channel, Snapchat profile, or X destination from within BlindFish, which deletes the publishing credentials stored for it
• Disconnect your Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, or X account from within BlindFish, which deletes the account-level authorization we hold for it. Note that this deletes our copy; to revoke the authorization at the provider as well, use that provider’s own settings — Google’s is linked above

Requesting Data Deletion

If you would like BlindFish to delete your data, you may:

• Email us at [email protected]
• Include the email address associated with your BlindFish account
• State that you would like your BlindFish account and associated data deleted

We will process verified deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe and remove any personal information that is no longer required for legal or operational purposes.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of BlindFish after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
